    Frequently Asked Questions

What is the shelf life of products?

All Vahdam Teas have a shelf-life of 3 years from the Date of Picking/Harvest. The 'Date of Expiry' are mentioned on the bottom of all our boxes.

    Where are your Teas from?

We source our teas from over 150 renowned plantations and small individual farms in India. Within the country, we procure from 5 popular tea-producing regions, namely: Darjeeling, Assam, Nilgiri, Kangra, and Sikkim.

    How are the Teas packaged?

After sourcing our teas directly from plantations within hours of harvest, we bring them to our state-of-the-art tea facility in New Delhi, India. The teas then go through rigorous rounds of cleaning, sorting, quality testing to remove any impurities/dust/foreign particles. Post 10+ quality checkpoints for leaf size, aroma, liquor, flavors etc. these are vacuum-packaged in opaque aluminum-lined bags using sophisticated machinery. These vacuum-bags are then stored in a dehumidified, temperature-controlled warehouse which ensures that the teas remain garden-fresh and maintain their character. Further, required quantities are packed in smaller vacuum-sealed packs which are boxed in the retail boxes and then sent over to our own delivery centers located in various parts of the world.

    Good Teas

I am not a tea expert, just sharing my observations. I usually skip review invitations, but I also enjoyed the previous reviews, so I will contribute mine.

I ordered 7 different white teas at Vadham. Excellent delivery to South America, although it took quite longer than promised, due to some unforeseen issues.

At first I considered the tea very weak tasting. Then I encountered a video on youtube advising to use much more tea than used in a bag, at least 6 gram per 200 ml. This was the solution, now it has some taste! I was also advised to reuse the tea, I can reuse it around 4 times. I did try to reuse tea bags in the past, which never worked well, with the larger tea leaves quantity the reuse seems to work better. With the larger quantity I had to bring back the brewing time to 3 - 4 minutes depending on the tea.

I tried 4 different teas, 3 more still to try. Until now my favourite one is the Darjeeling Pearl White Tea, but such preference may be very personal, it seems to have a stronger taste than some of the others I tried so far.

    I can highly recommend Vadham!
