Barnesbeg Tea Estate Darjeeling

Facing the majestic peaks of Kanchenjunga, the Barnesberg tea estate is situated 17 kilometres, west of Darjeeling town. It stretches from 800 feet to 3100 feet above sea level and enjoys a balmy, cool weather, with the Little Rangeet River gushing down the valley. The slopes of the tea estate with a moderate climate bring out the best in the bushes. It derives its name from Christine Barnes, who started the plantation in 1877. The tea estate predominantly is covered with original china bushes produces both black and green teas, the entire year.
